1. Reagents for
Models of Experimental Disease
(self-implementation at the investigator's laboratory. Probetex will supply
antibody for the induction of renal disease (see renal disease reagents)
sufficient to induce disease in up to 25 rats/unit, includes complete
instructions).
Models include:
PTX-001: anti-GBM nephritis,PTX-002: membranous nephritis (anti
tubular basement (Fx1A) nephritis, or PTX-003: mesangioproliferative
glomerulonephritis (anti-Thymocytes,Thy-1) nephritis.
Module 2. Histolopathology, Image
Analysis, & Archiving
Bright field, phase, epifluorescence, confocal, and electron microscopy.
Routine histology, immunoperoxidase, immunofluorescence, dual-label
immunohistochemistry. Image capture, merging,morphometrics, and 3-D
rendering.
Photographic display, prints, and data
archiving.
Module 3. Contract Research
implementation of experimental models at Probetex facilities, experimental
design, surgical manipulations, therapeutics, organ function tests, tissue
processing, glomerular and tubular isolations, histopathology, data
analysis, interpretation, custom models. All animal work is performed in
AALAC, USDA inspected facilities under the guidance of IACUC approved
protocols and veterinary staff.
Module 4. Consultation: Complete customer support on all aspects of
disease models, onsite or offsite training, experimental design, methods,
histopathology, image analysis, seminar/workshops.
