Materials supplied:
Sheep immunoglobulin, 10 ml, 20 mg/ml
Freund's complete adjuvant, 10 ml
Plastic syringe 20 ml capacity with plugged end
Anti-GBM antibody, 25 ml to induce disease in 25 rats.
Materials needed:
Approved Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) protocol
Gloves
Bucket of ice
Brinkman homogenizer or equivalent (must have at least a 6" probe and be capable of speeds of 15,000 rpm)
2 Plastic syringes, 10 ml
3 Glass syringes. 5 ml capacity
21 ga needles
25 Male Sprague-Dawley rats (175-200 gm)
